Duke is a soulful dog whose face is expressive, and he’s very intuitive about feelings. He’s naturally very friendly with people, but he can tell when they’re not prepared for enthusiasm. He is very gentle with kids, and the elderly. He likes all people. He’s very sweet, and easy-going. His favorite command is to be told to lay down and stay somewhere. He is very photogenic, and while he is food motived, he thrives on praise and the handler ‘loving him’. He loves the grooming process, and as the only male in my pack is the ‘fluffiest’ of the five. He is very tolerant of ‘weird situations’ like screaming children running around, odd noises, babies crying, being asked to walk or lay on odd surfaces, big crowds, or siting in a tiny space. He’s willing to hop into things like boxes, or sit in giant flower pots, or lay in a tub. Duke does not like other dogs besides my pack in his personal space. He is very willing to work alone or with my other dogs.
