Scout is a 5 year old treeingwalker coonhound mixed with a beagle. She’s an active hound who learns extremely fast. Unlike most hounds she excels at obedience and is currently undertaking the dog sport world. She has started agility and will soon begin dock diving classes. Scout knows many tricks including roll over, sit pretty, shake on both sides, tell me a secret, middle between the legs, go around my back, and much more. Of the commands she knows they are about 80% by voice and hand signal. Scout was rehomed to us at 12 weeks after failing 4 other homes. She’s a high drive dog who loves to work. Scout is the only hound dog in her sport classes and is the only hound in her entire obedience school to make it to the intermediate level. Scout loves to hunt and track game. She has the loudest and deepest bay or howl when she picks up a scent she’s working. Along with her many talents Scout loves every person she meets. She will almost always lick you to death and she loves to play with other friendly and respectful pooches but can also ignore and settle around other dogs as well as be worked around dogs and other distractions. Scout has been a foster sister to 15 homeless puppies and helped rehabilitate many of them.
