Peggy is a four year old shih poo and absolutely the most outgoing, friendliest, lovable girl you'll ever meet. She was a breeder surrender at 8 weeks old and I adopted her at 10 weeks. Peggy was born just a little bit more special than other dogs but you'd really never know. She's missing one ligament in her back right knee so her leg is straight like a ballerina; her ankle functions/bends as normal. She walks, runs, jumps plays, acts just like a normal dog. Most people have no idea she's extra special and you'd never notice unless you're paying attention to her from behind.  She was considered for an ad campaign a couple of years ago featuring dogs with exceptional abilities. She absolutely loves dogs of all sizes and breeds and  lives with two cats. I like to say she's never met an enemy. Peggy spends a lot of time in a long term care facility with a close family member and is amazing with all residents. She also is wonderful interacting with children and youth.  She's as equally full of energy engaging with people for play time as much as knowing when to be calm and gentle with those more vulnerable. If you're looking for the face of someone who can do anything and overcome anything, Peggy is your girl! Tricks include: sit, stay, lay down, stand up (from lay down position), kiss on command, high five, 'gimme ten' (sitting up on her haunches giving both hands, 'pick a hand' (selecting which hand is hiding the treat, 'gimme the gossip' (coming to my ear like she's going to tell a secret).
