Description
Ophie is a 10.5-month-old Newfoundland with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Known affectionately as “Goober Gal,” she’s a kind, funny, gentle giant who can’t walk down the street without turning heads. People often stop mid-stride just to comment on her “beautiful dog” look and she soaks up every bit of the attention with her soulful brown eyes and signature jowl-y grin.
Despite her growing size, Ophie is all about fun and connection. She’s a high-energy adventurer who loves splashing in the water, bounding through the snow, and trotting alongside her people on any outing. True to her Newfie nature, she’s happiest when near water, lake swims, dock jumps, or simply paw-paddling in the shallows are her idea of a perfect day.
At home, she’s a lovable goofball who fills every room with joy. Her play style is exuberant but always gentle, especially with kids and smaller animals. She lives with two cat companions, Fig and Stout, and has perfected the art of winning them over with her patience and charm. Her sense of humor shines in the way she greets you with a giant toy in her mouth, or plops down in the most inconvenient spot, certain she’s the center of the action (and she usually is).
Ophie’s affectionate spirit matches her sturdy build. She’s a natural at making new friends, both two-legged and four-legged, and has a calming, almost therapeutic presence for anyone lucky enough to sit beside her. Whether she’s goofing around at the park or quietly resting her head on your lap, she has a way of making every moment feel lighter and more joyful.
In short, Ophie is a living reminder of why we love our furry family members so much - loyal, loving, endlessly entertaining, and full of personality.
