Sunny is an 8 year old mix breed from a farm in Quebec Ontario. Sunny is from an accidental litter where the neighbouring farmer's dog got the farmers dog pregnant. Sunny's mom was a working border collie on the farm. Sunny is a mix breed 1/2 border collie and 1/2 golden retriever/husky. He as white boots and markings similar to a border collie pattern, has a coat of gold similar to a golden retrieve, and a build similar to a husky with pointy ears and a tail that curls up. When he was a puppy many people thought he was a fox as he also has a white "flag" tip on his tail. You will never see another dog as elegant, regal, and unique looking as Sunny! He is from a working dog family, and grew up outside living in a dog house with his mom and siblings. He still holds some of these natural 'free and wild' characteristics such as having his rear dew claws intact. Sunny is extremely intelligent and has made us look like veteran dog trainers! He listens souly from verbal commands; whether we are asking him to walk beside us off leash in heel position, asking him to sit between our legs in elevators or transit to save space, or simply to just stop walking and stand still! Sunny's most unique characteristic is that he has a blanky he carries everywhere. He will walk around our home dragging this blanky from his mouth, He will sleep and cuddle this blank at night, and it its the first thing he runs to grab when we come home from a walk. My favourite trait that Sunny shows is that he loves people and will give 'hugs' by leaning in and resting his head into your lap. Sunny is very independent - which our trainers have told us this is from his husky traits. He prefers to explore the world and smells over wrestling or playing fetch. Sunny has been a role model in our family for new puppies. He is wise beyond his years, he will correct other dogs in our family for poor behaviour; i.e. in a non-aggressive way he will correct our other dogs if jumping on counters or people with a quick bump and grown to get down. For such a high active mix of dog breeds; Sunny is soft and gentle. He will sleep in with us on the weekends and rest after his walks. Every season we change the colour of his bandana and he is known around our neighbourhood for the different bandana's he wears as his collar. Sunny is an amazing dog we would love to share with the world!
