Description
In addition to being the prettiest girl with her rare parchment colour, billowing fur and soulful eyes, Roux is one of the sweetest pups to ever exist. She loves often and with intention; if you love her, she loves you back. She has a light touch and, when invited, she will jump up to accept her love by grasping the love-giver’s arms with her silky, fluffy paws. Other times she body flops and snarfle into the lucky recipient looking for full body rubs, scratchies, hugs, kisses and cuddles.
While she gets along with dogs she tends to be somewhat aloof to most of them, offering a quick greeting and a sniff before continuing on her way. She is especially gentle with children and puppies. An urban explorer with an uncanny sense of direction and determination. Roux always enjoys a ride on the TTC or car to take her to her next adventure, charming many people we cross paths with in our hours-long journeys around the city. She brings out smiles as she walks as though she is on a mission (which often involves seeking squirrels in her favourite parks or navigating to her friend Norman’s house to ransack his toy basket).
Throw her a ball and she will catch it. Her determination, agility and athleticism are a sight to behold. Ask her to find something she loves and she will look for it until she does. She is a water dog and enjoys lakes, rivers, streams and swimming pools, especially if a ball is involved. If no body of water exists, Roux can locate even the smallest mud puddle to roll around and cool herself off in.
A doorbell will get her barking every time she hears it. Her bark is loud for her size and can sound intimidating, but really, she just wants to say hi.
